I have been thinking about starting a blog for a long time.  I'm retired now, so I can't say I'm too busy cooking, cleaning, or baking.  I've even been said to be "domestically challenged" so I really have no  excuse. 

 I might, however, be too busy reading a book.  Reading is what I do.  I've been know to forget to do certain things like fix dinner or do laundry because I was reading a book.  My family have all come home many times to catch me stirring the spaghetti sauce with one hand while holding a book in the other.  

By my calculations, I'v been reading for about sixty years, and I don't have a lot of time left.  Probably 25 at the most.  I figure, if I read 3 books a month for the next 25 years, that's 900 books.  So far, I've only read about 1960 books during my lifetime.  

So, to make a long story short,  family & friends, if you are thinking about getting me a gift, just make it a gift card for books.  I've got to get busy.
